Thank you for your email and thank you for spending the day with us yesterday showing us so much of what you love about Kyoto. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you.
We took your advice and this morning we walked to the Sanjusanden-do. We were so impressed by the sculptures from 600-700 years ago. They were far ahead of the Europeans of that time although the ancient Greeks were experts in 500 BC already. This shrine was very moving.
This afternoon we visited Daitokuji Temple and then met with s maiko for tea and a dance demonstration in a tea house in Gion.
Tomorrow we take a day trip to Nara.
You have a beautiful city. Thank you again.
