Letter for Nobusan from USA

Thank you so very much for your tour and knowledge! We learned so much from you about the interesting and long history of so many Kyoto temples; my children even remembered quite a few facts they learned from you yesterday!

Today we were able to visit Yasaka, Chionin, and Kodaiji before the rain stopped our exploring. The whole time, my son would point out the guardians saying “un” and “ah”, and my daughter was trying to find more Japanese bamboo(not Chinese bamboo)!

We used the Okamoto Kimono shop at their Yasaka location and they were very nice and helpful. My daughter fell in love with her yukata pattern but unfortunately they did not have one in stock to sell; would you happen to have any recommendations for well-made yukata/kimono? I remember there was a shop in Gion, but if you may know of others we could try, as well.

I do hope you were able to enjoy your favorite fruits, persimmons and a good craft beer on your day off!

And thank you again for your wonderful tour!

Thank you very much for your great review.

I am pleased to hear that all of you enjoyed my guide.

"Okamoto" is an excellent rental kimono shop.

You were very lucky to have used this shop.

Regarding purchasing yukata, I would recommend you "Daiyasu".

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have an English website but some staffs can speak English.

Please enjoy Kyoto one more day.

Best Regards,

Nobuaki Nagata, Nagata-Kyototour
