 Looking back, this was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan.                                                     

I learned much and I saw many new things.    Your explanations and information in general gave me insight, I think, in the fascinating world of Japanese Buddhism and Shintoism.

There is still much to remember and to think for me,Looking back to this day in Kyoto. Very moving was the story of the  young painter you told me, and also these moments in Ryoan-ji garden and in the Sanjusangen-do temple.

I just read your email as I had no access when we were on holiday.  Yes, we enjoyed your tour very much, it was wonderful having you show us Kyoto and giving us so many insider tips!

We had a wonderful stay in Japan – Teshima Art Museum is something which I have never experienced anywhere else in the world and the architect Ryue Nishizawa and artist Rei Naito are truly talented to have come up with such a breathtaking creation.  My son loved it and especially enjoyed biking uphill and downhill on Teshima and Naoshima – he SMILED all day and I got my lovable son back once again! J
I hope to bring my sisters to Kyoto one day as they have not seen Kyoto in Autumn, and shall be in touch with you.

We had a wonderful day with you as our tour guide and enjoyed all of the places that you took us – including Ryoanji.  Kyoto has so many places that we could have visited it was wonderful to have  a variety of styles in the one day. We even saw a few Geisha that night on the streets in Gion district that you recommended.

The following day before heading back to Osaka we had time to visit  Nijo Castle and the Manga Museum where we had our portraits drawn.

Mr. Nagata gave us a very organized and well run 6 hour tour

he was polite professional showed us sites that were not covered by other arrangements

considering his personal attention and the cost of taxis which we used later in our stay in kyoto his services were an excellant value

Little bit late my review... but all I can tell you is that our Kyoto tour with Mr. Nobu was awesome. He spoke very fluent English, the car was great, he knew a lot of history and took us to amazing places! He even took his time to take me to buy a special gift. The restaurant he recommended really had the most wonderful rice I've ever eaten!! Mr. Nobu gave us one of the most wonderful experiences in our lives!! He is a 5 star +. We were a party of 5 from the island of Puerto Rico and we highly recommend this tour. It Really exceeded our expectations! Thank you very much!!!

Our tour was with Nobuaki Nagata. The van was spotless and he was on time. My son (11yrs old) and I were treated to interesting religious aspects of each site we wanted to see and also taken to the best photo sites. When my son wanted a matcha soft cream, we were taken to perhaps the best place in Kyoto for matcha（Powdered green tea.） ! All in all, it was a great day if you want to gain insight into Kyoto's sites beyond the guide books.

Dear Nabu,

    Thank you for your email and thank you for spending the day with us yesterday showing us so much of what you love about Kyoto. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you. 

    We took your advice and this morning we walked to the Sanjusanden-do. We were so impressed by the sculptures from 600-700 years ago. They were far ahead of the Europeans of that time although the ancient Greeks were experts in 500 BC already. This shrine was very moving. 

    This afternoon we visited Daitokuji Temple and then met with s maiko for tea and a dance demonstration in a tea house in Gion. 

    Tomorrow we take a day trip to Nara. 

    You have a beautiful city. Thank you again.
